Blizzcon 2011 Goodie Bag Contents Revealed!

When I first picked up my goodie bag from my buddy's house I was excited, giddy almost, and didn't even leave the driveway before I opened it up to sift through the contents. Like most others I quickly scrambled to see if there was a Diablo III beta key but to my despair there was naught one to be found. But, all hope is not lost (I will cover that later on in this blog). There were plenty of goodies and some items brought back from Blizzcon 2010 that I look forward to revisiting at this year's Blizzcon 2011. With no time to lose, lets cut this sucker open and finally get a good look at what is in the bag.

Diablo 3 Tyrael Collector's Statue

The bulk of the goodie bag was the Diablo 3 Tyrael collector's statue in its modestly sized box. The item was announced just a couple of days ago on the Blizzcon website and I was really looking forward to it. Last year's Deathwing was very fragile, mine actually lost a toe and a piece of its tail from being made of very brittle material. Touching and feeling the plastic used to make this year's model I feel that it is much less brittle and the statue overall felt very sturdy.

Fresh, got a good wiff of Chinese air while opening the box.
Construction was easy as one, two, three.
Say hello to my fancy new paper weight.
A shot of the base
360* Shots of the figurine!
And a mini photo shoot for my new toy~
And the back of the box!
and moving on...
Limited Edition Diablo 3 Battle.net Authenticator
Same as last year, different sticker

The next biggest item in the bag was the battle.net authenticator, this year in Diablo 3 limited edition. Last year we received one as a Starcraft 2 Limited Edition. Now only if they could somehow put a Diablo 3 beta key on the authenticator... *rips open authenticator only to find a chip and a made in taiwan sticker*....

The Loot Card, The Badge, The Dongle
Much like last year, a loot card was provided in the goodie bag with the code to the World of Warcraft "Diablo 3 themed" pet Murkablo. The badge and dongle were almost identical to last years, only difference being the year and the picture used on the badge. The dongle this year instead of promoting Cryptozoic has Intel logos in their place. What piques my interest the most is the loot card, on it they have a "Classified" starcraft 2 portrait. Sitting here, thinking to myself, why in the hell would they classify a starcraft 2 portrait of all things? What could be so classified that they need to announce the second item on the loot card at Blizzcon? My theory: DIABLO 3 BETA KEY. I will keep my hopes up until further notice.

The Paperwork

And the paperwork. Among the fliers were included:

1 Steel Series Epic Loot Key (like last year)
1 NVidia ID Badge (like last year)
1 Map (like last year)
1 Antec Raffel Ticket (New!)
1 Promo Deck for World of Warcraft Card Game (New!)
1 Razer Promotional Flier (nothing interesting, Looks like this year its the Plinko Board again)
1 Diablo 3 bookmark with Brady Games Quest (like last year)
1 Blizzard Recruitment flier

Here's what the Brady Games quest bookmark looks like. Last year they gave people a random loot drawing that could win you anything small as a horde/alliance cloth patch to a set of books/boardgame.
